Bunchland.com, Sloan’s Chris Murphy and Andrew Scott and their beautiful families DARE YOUR FAMILY to bang a drum and help raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the fight against AIDS in Africa! We dare you, awesome kids and parents, to bang a drum and show your solidarity with African families affected by AIDS, who face big challenges everyday. On Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5th there are free Dare to Drum workshops taking place in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. All you have to do is register to attend, make a donation (we suggest $10 per person) and come to the workshop with your kids. You’ll take part in a drum circle, have lots of fun, and raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s A Dare to Remember campaign. Click on the name of your city RIGHT NOW and make a difference as a family! Can’t make it but still want to help out? Click here to make a donation to Dare to Drum! Dare to Drum Schedule (from East to West) Montreal: Saturday, December 4th, 2-3 PM, 2250 Rue Pitt Workshop instruction donated by Rhythm Exchange Every single day, women, men and young people in Africa are pushed to the limit by the AIDS pandemic, and yet still find the strength to bring hope and change to their communities. Many courageous kids are affected by AIDS and face incredible challenges, like taking on the care of their younger siblings and running a household. The Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Dare campaign asks Canadians to take on Dares that parallel the acts of courage, ingenuity, determination and strength in community exhibited by their African counterparts.
